Job Description

I am an Irish non-consultant hospital doctor on the surgical ophthalmology training scheme. My undergraduate degree
was in National University of Ireland, Galway.

The path into medicine for many people can be a little daunting. People who don’t come from a medical background but wish to become a doctor often have questions about the entry process, college degree and the working conditions. Prior knowledge is very advantageous when starting a career in medicine.

I can advise on:

  • Entry criteria into medicine via the undergraduate and postgraduate routes
  • Tips and tricks for navigating medical school
  • How to build your CV as you move through medical school
  • What you need to know when applying for training positions
